    This paper mainly studied based on wavelet transform is a kind of image fusion method, first using wavelet decomposition will source image into high frequency components and low frequency component two parts, the image of high frequency domain decomposition, the source image choice neighborhood average absolute value larger coefficient as important wavelet coefficient; In the low frequency domain, new approximate coefficient of the source images through approximation coefficients of the weighted average get, and by using the wavelet coefficient and important weighted approximation coefficients of wavelet inverse transform, can get confluence of after image.
    This design using MATLAB software research system and the fusion algorithm simulation, we can see the based on wavelet transform image fusion method of image fusion of get more clear and has more and get the holding-based quality greatly improve, and can be used for a wide range of neighborhood.
